Yin Yang Yoga
Concept
Yin Yang Yoga is a great introduction to yoga for beginners – combining Yin Yoga (passive, cool, connective tissues) with Hatha and a bit of Vinyasa (active, warm, muscular) to get the best each worlds.

-
- In Hatha Yoga, we combine active movements along with short to moderately long hold poses, to help you strengthen, stretch, develop balance a coordination in your body and improve your energy (prana) flow.
- Vinyasa focuses on coordinating movements with breathing, as well as stringing one pose after another which flows, which can be sequence created to target certain “peak pose”, skill, muscle group benefit, or simply an overall full bodied stretch.
- Yin Yoga mostly uses passive stretches and long holds (at least 2-3 minutes) to help you go deep, beyond muscles, into the connective tissues for joint health and rejuvenation. It is also a great practice towards mindfulness (and) meditation.
