At Soul Dance Space, we offer a unique, creative & expressive dance training program primarily based on Contemporary Dance, which strives to balance technical skills as well as the well-being of dancers. Our classes are designed to create dancers who are versatile, creative, self-expressive, self-aware and balanced in their pursuit of excellence and their personal well-being through training in contemporary technique, creative expression, and mindful self-awareness.

Why Improvisation?
While technique plays a role in the program, we focus mainly on improvisation. This is so that:
- We are able to work with various levels of technical difficulty depending on the readiness of each individual student. The speed of learning and retention, as well as the need of the individual may differ between individuals, and session by session.
- By not having to perform a set choreographed movements, students are more able to focus on paying attention to specific parts of their bodies, apply certain techniques or release certain emotions.
- Adults need an outlet of free-form creative expression, and this is the space for that. From here, you can explore your personal style, combine various genres and create something original, that is totally you!
Who is it for?
- From teens and young adults, to beyond your 50’s! As long as there are no major fitness or mobility issues, you can definitely work something out for yourself.
- May or may not have previous dance experience.
- Interested, curious and daring to explore new possibilities in your body through dance and movements.
- Have a lot to say, non-verbally.
